Cyveillance Cyber Intelligence Expert to Participate in WMACCA Panel on Online Brand Protection

 

WHAT: It is essential for organization’s to understand all aspects of their online presence as new threats arise each day and the rules and regulations of the virtual world continue to take shape. James Carnall, Manager of the Cyber Intelligence Division of Cyveillance will join the Washington Metropolitan Association of Corporate Counsel (WMACCA), the largest regional in-house bar association in the United States for their panel presentation on "Protecting Your Brand Online: Latest Developments and Techniques." Carnall will discuss online abuse including pharming and phishing, as well as current trends. Additionally, he will address best practices that companies can implement to effectively identify cyber threats and protect themselves online.
WHO: James Carnall, Manager of Cyveillance’s Cyber Intelligence Division, leads a team of intelligence analysts in support of Cyveillance’s Hospitality, Insurance, Transportation and Technology clients. He has extensive experience in business management and marketing with a unique international perspective, having lived and worked overseas. His current responsibilities include managing client relationships across various industries. James’ team produces daily, monthly and quarterly reports for clients by analyzing brand intelligence, collected by Cyveillance technology. James also supports the Threat and Fraud Team with the time-sensitive task of detecting and taking down phishing sites. He holds a degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Network Security from George Mason University’s School of Information Technology and Engineering and a Minor in Business.
